P3 worked in groups to estimate and measure the capacity  of some water bottles to find out which one would be the most suitable to purchase for a party. Great thinking skills were used to plan how to go about their task and record their results.

Primary 3 are Great Investigators!

P.3 Shape Investigations
P.3 Shape Investigations

The primary 3 class investigated the different shapes they could make using four triangles. The children were very enthusiastic and worked well in their groups. Some groups were able to make a rectangle, a square, a parallelogram and a bigger triangle. They are great investigators.

P.3's Toast Experiment
P.3's Toast Experiment

Primary 3 carried out an investigation to find out if bread changes when it is toasted. The children drew around a slice of bread to record its size and shape. Then they toasted the bread and drew around it again. They found out that it got smaller and then worked out that this was because the moisture was removed from the bread when heated. Very clever!
