This week our School Assembly was presented by our P7 pupils who were celebrating their creative work. The boys and girls have been studying the art skills and techniques associated with cubism. They shared a selection of abstract drawings and paintings which were influenced by the cubist painter Pablo Picasso.
In term one, as part of our World Around Us topic, the pupils learned about how Victorian children had to work in factories from the age of 4 years old and how they worked long days from 5am to 8.30pm.
In class the pupils learned how to weave and they shared their weaving examples to the pupils at assembly.

This presentation was followed by our 'Pupil of the Week' Awards when, as always, it was a delight to hear how our children continue to impress with their passion and enthusiasm for learning! Let's not forget that we are heading into a very exciting time of the year so stay tuned to see if any budding young actors or actresses begin to amaze us over the next few weeks.
