Congratulations to the children awarded ⭐️‘Pupil of the Week’⭐️. There has been plenty of fabulous work going on in our classes this week with the main activity being the making of our St Brigid’s crosses. It is therefore great credit to the given few who were especially chosen by their teachers this week. Maith sibh uilig Daltaí na Seachtaine 👏👏👏
Primary 4 pupils led the school in a special assembly to celebrate the feast of St Brigid this week. Our pupils told the story of Brigid's life while others acted out how she managed to get enough land to build her church and convent in Kildare by using her cloak.
Others told the story of how Brigid converted a pagan chieftain to Christianity by making a cross out of rushes and weaving a cross to explain how Jesus died on the cross for us.
We finished with bidding prayers asking St Brigid to help us as we go through life.
