World Book Day
Our World Book Day theme was bedtime stories so to celebrate the day we all dressed up in our pyjamas and brought our favourite bedtime story books to school.
Our teachers also brought in their favourite bedtime story and read it to their classes in the Library.
It was difficult at times to keep track of our Primary 7s as they stole some quiet time in their hideaways to read their books!
Poster Competition
We ran a Poster Competition in school with children from Reception - P.3 drawing their favourite character from their bedtime storybook and children from P.4 - P.7 having to design a new book cover and write a blurb for their book.
We had some fantastic entrants and a massive well done to everyone who took part. The lucky winners were Grace Reception/P.1; James P.2; Casey Leigh P.3; Eoghan Ruadh P.4; Steive P.5; Emilis P.6 and Peter P.7.
Brainy Bookworms
We also ran a book quiz for pupils to complete with their families. Our winner selected from Reception - P.3 with all the correct answers was Jac P3 and from P.4 -P.7 was Feanna P5.
