Bubbles Galore!
19th Mar 2020
Mrs O Malley's class went outdoors to learn about wind speed and direction. Working in groups the children took turns to blow bubbles with one member of the group, measuring the distance a bubble travelled before it burst. When back in the classroom the children discussed who might need to know information about wind speed and direction and why!
Well done to Conor who told us that pilots would need this information when flying their planes and to Colly who informed us that it is the weather forecast people on television who keep us informed! The kids really enjoyed their STEM lesson and had lots of fun. Of course Mrs O’Malley couldn’t resist having some fun with the bubbles too!
