Over the last 6 weeks, some pupils from Primary 4 to Primary 7 enjoyed developing their gardening skills with Miss Hughes and Miss Cunningham in our Afterschools Green Fingers Gardening Club. In week 1 the boys and girls designed potato heads and planted grass seeds for the hair.
The next few weeks they went outside to dig up old, dead flowers and plant new bulbs that they will watch grow in time for srping. The chilren will work closely with our Eco Council to care for the plants as they grow.
In our final week, we took a stroll around the St Patrick's Chapel and the school grounds in search of resources for the 'Bug Hotel'. The children collected leaves, twigs and conkers to use to make the hotel welcoming for all kinds of bugs over the winter.
