Term 1 Updated Information
School Mass:
Rang 3 and Primary 3- Primary 7 pupils will celebrate the Feast of St Francis of Assisi at the beginning of our new school year mass in St Patrick’s Church, Keady on Tuesday 4th October @ 10am. Everyone welcome.
Swimming Lessons:
Lessons will begin this Thursday 29th September for all P7 pupils. As the ABC strike action has impacted on our timetable P7 will attend a set of 10 swimming lessons from now until Christmas. This will be the only lessons for P7 this year. The cost of these lessons will be £25 and can be paid in full or in £5 instalments on Parentpay between now and the end of November. Final payments must please be completed on or before Thursday 24th November 2022. Pupils should wear full PE uniform on swim days and are reminded to have appropriate swimwear and a towel in a separate swimming bag. Ladies are reminded about the need for a hairbrush and hair bands to tie up wet hair!
After School Activities:
All clubs are now well underway with plenty of fun learning and craic to be heard throughout the school. There are a few limited spaces left in the Healthy Kidz ‘Journey to Croker’ on a Thursday. All other clubs are full and registration is now closed.
Tin Whistle lessons:
P3 -P7 lessons take place every Wednesday afternoon. These are funded through the Extended Schools Programme. Each child has been given a whistle which will remain in school. If any parent would like to buy a tin whistle and receive a free book of tunes used in class this can be purchased on Parentpay at a cost of £5.
Guitar and Ukulele Tuition:
Groups and timetables for the P4-7 pupils who registered have now been finalised. Lessons will take place every Tuesday. Pupils are advised in an effort to utilise this great opportunity to practise at home. It is the responsibility of the child to have their instrument and notes in school each week. Payment can be made in full, half or monthly instalments on Parentpay from 1st October 2022 - 1st April 2023. Letter to follow this week.
