P.5 Have A Blast!
21st Nov 2019
As part of our work in STEM, the children in Primary 5 recently made and launched their own rockets. We used plastic bottles, tubes, cylinders, cardboard and rubber nose tips to make the rockets. First we connected the tubes to the bottle using tapes. Next we made the nose of the rocket by rolling paper into a cone and placing around the plastic cylinder. We then added the nose tip and glued it all together. After that we made some fins and glued them to our rockets. Finally we named our rockets before launching them in the hall by stamping on the bottles. The air inside the bottles was released when we stamped on the bottles and they zoomed into the air with a bang! We were fascinated by how high they launched into the air!
