P5 Trip to Bagenal's Castle
27th Nov 2018
P.5 went on a trip to Bagenal’s Castle Newry, where we participated in a World War 2 Living History Workshop. We got the opportunity to dress up as children from the era and we were shown some genuine artefacts from World War 2, including gas masks, identity cards and photographs. We also learned how to sew, wrap bandages and we even got to weigh out different amounts of rationed foods. There was also an opportunity for us to showcase our acting skills by participating in some drama, where we played the role of trainee fireguards.
As a bonus treat, the lady at the museum allowed us to try on a range of costumes from various periods of history including the Tudors. Can you spot King Henry V111 in the pictures?
