Primary 7 enjoyed taking part in a Literacy project organised by Monaghan County Library. the overall aim was to get as many people reading the same book throughout the county, to share their experience and thoughts on a book.
The book chosen was “The Irish Civil War 1922-23 Ava’s Diary” by Patricia Murphy.
To celebrate the end of this project, we were invited to attend an event in the ĂŚontas Theatre in Castleblaney.
We had a great day chatting to pupils from other Irish schools and we were very lucky to meet Patricia Murphy, the author of our shared novel.
