This investigation helped to answer our question “How is water purified?”. We researched the role of a Water Engineer and decided to experiment with filtering dirty water. Our Primary 7 Water Engineers worked in pairs to create a simple filtration system. They used recycled plastic bottles, coffee filter paper and a range of different sized stones to create a filter to separate large stones and mud from a dirty water sample. A successful investigation completed by everyone.
