Primary 5 had a ‘blast from the past’ on our Shared Education trip to Newry and Mourne Museum in Bagenal’s Castle on Wednesday. The pupils have been learning about World War ll in World Around Us and they thoroughly enjoyed bringing their learning to life. Among the different activities, the children reenacted scenes from The Blitz, tried their hand at making clothes and bandages, designed WWll propaganda posters and even got to try on some pieces of clothing and accessories that people would have used during WWll. As an added bonus, we also got to take advantage of a lovely Autumn afternoon and spend some time at Armagh Palace Stables where we really enjoyed playing with our friends at Lisnadill Primary School. We really look forward to sharing some more fun learning experiences in Term 2.
