School Council
Healthy Living
Our 'School Council' are determined to promote well-being within the school and develop a positive outlook towards exercise and healthy foods. We are very lucky to have lots of after school clubs that provide a range of physical and mindful activities to suit all interests. Cookery, Knitting and Craft Club, Fun Fitness, Outdoor Games' Club, Badminton, Gaelic Football, Art, Pottery, Lego, Gardening, Hurling and Camogie are just some of the activities we offer in our After School Programme.
BBC Newsline visited our school when they heard about the wonderful work we were doing to encourage kids and families to make healthier living choices. Our Healthy Families Programme helped us deliver our message to a national audience! Have a look at some pics from behind the scene!
Healthy Eating Charts are completed on a daily basis. We are tracking healthy breaks in our classes. Remember to bring a piece of fruit to school for your snack. Eating a healthy snack can lead to improved levels of concentration and motivation. We also encourage every child to bring a refillable bottle of water to school. Let’s stay hydrated!
